The Perse School

The Perse School in Cambridge is an independent co-educational school known for its academic excellence. It is rated as the best in the region and 25th in the top 400 schools in the UK.

I designed a new website for the school, the objective for which was to increase traffic of prospective parents, while at the same time providing a platform to communicate news and school information regularly to current parents. The old website segregated the separate schools within the Perse too much. Therefore the new homepage featured a rotating carousel, of which the idea behind was to tell the story of the chapters in the life of a Perse student from pre-school right through to sixth form. The visual was loosely based upon books on a shelf for the academic feel, but not too too cliché.

At the launch I also designed an e-mail was sent out to all Perse prospects.

The Perse Launch Email:

The email had outstanding results with an open rate nearly 4 times higher than the industry average, a 45% increase. The click-through rate was 18.5% higher than average and interestingly nearly half (46.5%) of all recipients clicked through via the last news item, indicating that they had scrolled through the entire letter.

Some selected website page designs:

"Tammy has many great qualities as a Senior Designer, not only can she turn her hand at creating a brand defining campaign utilising real insight and a 'sixth sense' for what will work for the consumer but also has that rare skill of being able to breathe life into that vision through her creative technical skills too. Media design & build, campaign web sites, moving image and illustrative knowledge coupled with marketing edge, is an appealing mix of skills that make Tammy a unique designer. "

"Tammy worked for us (Mobas) on a number of occasions on a freelance basis. Tammy worked exceptionally well with our team and produced fantastic results. Tammy clearly understood the briefs given to her and our clients were always extremely pleased with her designs."
