Real VNC's 'Deskhop'

deskhopapp.com

Since the launch of ‘deskhop’ in September 2013, its user base has grown in popularity, from approximately 1,000 users in the first week to over 10,000 users within the first few months of release.

RealVNC’s software VNC® is worldwide in many businesses as a trusted means of remote desktop sharing. Over a billion copies in fact.
Deskhop is RealVNC's first consumer service powered by the same technogolgy, but providing secure screensharing via Facebook.

At Honest, we were successful and won the project for which we initially had to pitch ideas for a name, branding and app interface styling. We rolled out the work under extremely tight deadlines.

My role on this project involved executing the majority of the creative. I pitched the creative work myself to RealVNC (along with our lovely Client Services Director Sarah!). I created a fun grasshopper character to bring the application to life and I designed the Facebook App interface and the microsite. I also storyboarded and animated a promotional video for the launch of Deskhop. As part of this I art directed an audio voice over at a studio session in London for the video soundtrack.

Since the launch of ‘deskhop’ in September 2013, its user base has grown in popularity, from approximately 1,000 users in the first week to over 10,000 users within the first few months of release.

"Tammy has many great qualities as a Senior Designer, not only can she turn her hand at creating a brand defining campaign utilising real insight and a 'sixth sense' for what will work for the consumer but also has that rare skill of being able to breathe life into that vision through her creative technical skills too. Media design & build, campaign web sites, moving image and illustrative knowledge coupled with marketing edge, is an appealing mix of skills that make Tammy a unique designer. "

Rajen Mistry, Head of Creative at Golley Slater Digital

"Tammy worked for us (Mobas) on a number of occasions on a freelance basis. Tammy worked exceptionally well with our team and produced fantastic results. Tammy clearly understood the briefs given to her and our clients were always extremely pleased with her designs."

Martyn Abbott, Digital Projects Manager at Mobas
